Higher education faculty members from 20 colleges and universities in the Southwestern Pennsylvania region attended the Future Readiness Workshop to learn about the opportunities and challenges presented by artificial intelligence (AI) and how it relates to higher education.
Students, faculty and staff across all Penn State campuses will now have free access to virtual technology programming provided by the Technology Council of Central Pennsylvania (TCCP), thanks to a newly expanded partnership with TCCP spearheaded by Penn State Harrisburg, a longtime member of the council.
"Education Vanguard: Building the Education of the Future Together" will be held Oct. 12-14 at the Regional Learning Alliance in Cranberry Township. Educators and industry leaders in southwestern Pennsylvania are invited to attend the event at no cost to learn more about the impact of technology on education, business and more.
Joe Cuiffi works to foster confidence in problem solving among his electro-mechanical engineering technology students. For his unique approach and careful attention to students’ understanding, Cuiffi has earned the 2023 George W. Atherton Award for Excellence in Teaching.

The University College at Penn State is the collective administrative umbrella for 14 of Penn State's campuses distributed throughout the commonwealth.
